| "Hi,
I’m Sean and I am planning to cycle from Cornwall in the UK to Cape
Town in South Africa in aid of four great charities.
I always imagined graduating and working in a sleek suit in an office
overlooking the Thames being paid too much in a job I didn’t really
understand. Unfortunately my final year has been dominated by talk of
a recession, the credit crunch, a reduction in the number of company graduate
schemes and a general atmosphere of doom and gloom.
However, I thought I would make the most of the year and ‘Ride out
the Recession’ and along the way raise some money for some worthy
causes. The journey is in support of four great charities - Pump Aid,
The Robert Johns Leukaemia Fund, Unicef and Wooden Spoon, and I aim to
raise in excess of £15,000.
While on my journey, you can catch up with my whereabouts and latest news
through my blog, Twitter, Facebook and look at the pictures in my photo
gallery.”
"Your expedition from Cornwall to
Cape Town looks like it will be a wonderful adventure. With all the doom
and gloom surrounding young people in Britain today it is nice to see
someone facing life head on for a worthwhile cause"

'Riding out the Recession is an
inspired enterprise for some great causes. It is a great example of how
you make your own opportunities in life. Keep it rubber side down Sean
and live the dream. It might be hard to go back to your original life
plans after you have cycled out the recession!'
